Forms of demand

Value Demand

All the demand that eventually produces Throughput.

Examples

• A learning experience ready for implementation.
• A learning implementation.
• An analysis of the results of a learning implementation.
• Knowledge artefacts.
• A new feature that meets a process or learning need.
• A new tool that meets a process need.
• Feedback on quality.
• Improvements to quality.
• The prioritisation process that causes any of the above to occur.

Failure Demand

Demand created by a failure to produce value for a previous demand.

All failure demand is waste.

Examples

• Repeatedly answering the same questions instead of writing a FAQ.
